EGX returns to London in October 2019

EGX Berlin will return in November

EGX 2019 will take place at London Excel from October 17th to October 20th.

It means the event will move from Birmingham NEC, where it has been based since 2015. EGX previous took place in London between 2008 and 2014, but moved up North following the closure of Earls Court.

EGX is run by Gamesindustry.biz's parent company Gamer Network (part of ReedPOP), and next year's EGX will see the return of our market leading B2B offerings, including the Career Fair and the Investment Summit. Over 2,500 industry professionals attended EGX last year and the aim for 2019 is to grow that further. "We are thrilled to be bringing EGX home," said event director David Lilley in a press release. "Moving back to London means we can grow all elements of the show and add new content and features that we know our fans desire, making this an unmissable outing for gamers and the UK games industry."

The event may be moving away from Birmingham, but the organisers have promised to support its fans in the area, including time-limited discounted tickets and transport solutions to EGX London. MCM Comic-Con is now also part of the same family as EGX, and the Birmingham Comic-Con (in March and November) will continued to feature gaming items. The most recent MCM hosted the Splatoon 2 UK Championships Grand Final.

In addition to EGX, EGX Berlin will also return for a second year. It will once again be based at Station Berlin, but this time will be happening between November 1st and 3rd, 2019. As previously announced, EGX Rezzed will be held at London's Tobacco Dock between April 4th and 6th.
