Updated Story: EA's delisting announcement has been updated to reflect that the only titles that will be shuttered are Battlefield 1943, Battlefield: Bad Company, and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Original Story: EA has announced that it will be delisting Battlefield 1943, Battlefield: Bad Company 1 & 2, and Mirror's Edge from digital stores.

The titles will be removed on April 28, 2023, and consumers will no longer be able to purchase them afterward.

EA added that this is in preparation for ending the games' online services, which is scheduled for termination on December 8, 2023.

Users can still play the single-player modes for Mirror's Edge and the Bad Company titles.

The games firm said, "While these titles hold a special place in our heart, we're now looking forward to creating new memories alongside you as we shift our focus towards our current and future Battlefield experiences."

The news comes months after EA's subsidiary, Respawn Entertainment, announced that it would shut down Apex Legends Mobile on May 1.
