EA to launch Air Hockey in Europe

EA Mobile plans to launch popular table-sports title EA Air Hockey in the UK beginning this month.

The game's already popular in the US, where it retails for $1.99, and will be made available through major operators in Europe, including the UK.

Rather like the sport itself, the game takes a simple approach - using just one button, players rally the puck back and forth over a bed of air.

As well as three difficulty modes using computer-controlled opposition, EA Air Hockey features a head-to-head multiplayer mode that can be played on a single phone.

"EA Air Hockey takes the excitement of the real-world table sport and translates it into a gripping mobile gaming experience," said Javier Ferreira, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, EA.

"The game has won over players across North America and is now poised to make fans of mobile gamers throughout Europe."
