EA brings The Sims to N-Gage

Publisher Electronic Arts is to continue its support for the Nokia N-Gage platform, with the company announcing that a version of The Sims Bustin' Out for the game deck will be released in the first half of this year.

The N-Gage version of the game is set to include various exclusive objects as well as a number of unique mini-games which allow players to earn extra Simoleons (in-game currency units).

The announcement will provide a much-needed confidence boost for N-Gage, which has still had no official announcement of sales figures from Nokia but is generally considered to have massively underperformed in most markets worldwide.

However, the company has not yet revised its sales target for the device - the official line remains that Nokia hopes to sell 9 million N-Gage units within the current year, an optimistic target for which support from the likes of EA will be crucial.
