The Entertainment Software Association has sold approximately 90 per cent of its exhibitor space in the run up to the revived event, set to take place at the Los Angeles Convention Centre over June 2-4.
E3 Expo currently has over 100 exhibitors signed up, along with an expected 40,000 qualified attendees.
"If you have a career in games or just love to play them, get out your calendar and circle the first week of June," said Jeff Brown of EA. "The E3 Expo is bigger and better this year and for EA, the expanded format means we'll have more demos, announcements, promotions and blockbuster games than ever before."
Scott Guthrie, executive vice president of publishing at THQ, added: "It is very exciting for the videogame industry to once again have a global platform from which to report on the trends, innovations and exciting new games that are fuelling the growth of our market."
"We look forward to meeting with press and retailers from around the world, as well as the investment community to share several key titles from THQ's portfolio at the E3 Expo in June."
Last year's event, drew in damning criticism from high profile members of the industry due to its redesign into a more exclusive and smaller event from 2007 onwards. In response the ESA has revamped the event to recreate the "glamour and sizzle" of the show's 2006 format.
"This event will unveil and showcase the latest in outstanding entertainment, creativity and innovation. Everyone interested in the computer and video game industry will be in Los Angeles this June," said Michael Gallagher, president and CEO of the ESA.
