DVDs Help Parents Get Game

Choices Launch New Range Of DVD Games That Help Kids And Parents Play Together

Date of issue: 24.06.05

Mums and dads can breathe a sign of relief as Choices launches Play On DVD - an electronic games range that even the most techno-phobic parent can play with their kids.

Modern parents have long since struggled to feel involved in their children's love of electronic entertainment. Choices' new range of pocket money price DVD games allows any parent who can operate a DVD player to join in the fun as their tech-savvy offspring explores the underwater world of Freddi Fish or lend a helping hand as Putt-Putt Saves The Zoo.

The Play On DVD range of titles retail at £4.99 each and offer an entertaining and educational experience for four to eight year-olds without the need for expensive games consoles. As DVD technology continues to dominate the home entertainment world, Play On DVD enables adults to interact with their kids whilst helping to develop hand-eye coordination and problem solving skills.

Five Play On DVD games are available from Choices:

Putt-Putt Saves The Zoo - at the grand opening of the Cartown Zoo, food is running low and all the baby animals are missing - Putt Putt to the rescue!

Freddi Fish - the award winning series sees Freddi explore amazing underwater worlds to discover clues in the quest to find a sunken ship

Pajama Sam: You Are What You Eat - the fats and sweets are taking over MopTop Island and only Sam can save the day

Mahjong - the ancient Chinese solitaire game is given a modern twist

Steel League Clan Clash - a robotic battle in the comfort of your living room

Hazel Laking, Retail Marketing Manager for Choices comments: "We believe that it is crucial for parents to be involved in their children's entertainment. With each generation of consoles this becomes harder as the games become more and more complicated. The Play On DVD range is vital in bridging the gap between parents watching DVDs and children playing video games. Kids, mums and dads will now be able to play along together without the grown-ups feeling left behind."

For families with portable or in-car DVD players, Play On DVD could signal the end of nightmare car journeys. Cries of "Are we there yet?" will be a thing of the past as kids become engrossed in the wonderful worlds of their favourite colourful characters whilst on the move.

The games are available now exclusively from 229 Choices stores located nationwide priced £4.99.
