Twitter also said Genshin Impact, Wordle, and Ensemble Stars were the top three most talked about games during the period

Today social media platform Twitter released its H1 2022 conversation data which said that video games were tweeted about 1.5 billion times.

For the period of January to June, this figure represents an increase of 36% year-over-year.

Twitter attributed this growth to conversations about game releases such as Elden Ring, esports leagues such as Call of Duty league and Valorant champions tour.

The increase was also said to be due to gaming presentations such as Xbox Showcase, PlayStation's State of Play, and Summer Game Fest.

Among titles that were spoken about on the platform, Genshin Impact was number one, followed by Wordle as second, and Ensemble Stars coming in as third.

With regards to countries, Japan tweeted the most about games, as the US came in second, and South Korea was third country that tweeted the most.
