The president of the Entertainment Software Association, Doug Lowenstein, is set to deliver a keynote speech at the European Games Network trade show in London next September, as part of a wide global focus for the show.

The ESA is the North American equivalent of ELSPA, the UK game publisher trade body which is a key backer of the EGN event, and Lowenstein's participation in the event is thought to be the first of several key links which EGN hopes to establish with overseas trade bodies.

"I am honoured to be invited to be a keynote speaker at EGN," commented Lowenstein. "Europe is a vibrant and growing market for our industry and I know that the event fills a long standing goal of ELSPA to build a trade event whose primary objective is to serve the interests of the European game industry."

The European Games Network show takes place alongside the consumer GameStars Live event in the ExCeL venue in London's Docklands next September 1st - 3rd.

Details of the involvement of other trade bodies from Europe and the Far East in the show are expected to be announced in the near future.
