Doomsday demo released

Paradox Interactive announced today that the demo for Hearts of Iron II Doomsday has been released. The demo will give players unlimited access to the full game for 3 hours, a novelty approach from the company and a way to ensure players can experience the full scope of the game without restrictions.

What would have happened if WWII had continued into WWIII, where the United States as leader of the Allied nations and the Soviet Union under communist rule had faced off against each other? Find out by playing the newly released Hearts of Iron II Doomsday demo, the stand-alone expansion of the critically acclaimed Hearts of Iron II.

"We have always wanted our gamers to try the game before actually paying for it", says Fredrik W Lindgren, Director of Publishing at Paradox Interactive.

Additions include the Doomsday scenario, a sizeable makeover of the game engine that streamlines the user interface, a revamp of the battle mechanics and enemy intelligence as well as a modified technology tree.
