Dontnod's Vampyr is the UK's number one game

Focus Home Interactive takes the top spot in the All Formats chart for the first time

Dontnod Entertainment's Vampyr has entered the UK chart at number one, the first time that publisher Focus Home Interactive has reached the top spot in the All Formats chart.

This week's Ukie Gfk chart is light on major new releases, but Vampyr still fought off competition from FIFA 18 and God of War to take first place. This is an impressive return for Dontnod's RPG, which received a warm (but far from ecstatic) response from the games press.

Vampyr is the third new IP to top the chart in 2018 so far, following Rare's Sea of Thieves and Quantic Dream's Detroit: Become Human. Since entering the chart at number one two weeks ago, Quantic Dream's game fell to fourth place behind FIFA 18 and God of War.

The rest of the top ten was light on surprises, with the week's other new releases failing to penetrate so high up the chart.

The best of them was ZeniMax Online's The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset, which charted at 26. However, two new racing games, Codemasters' Onrush and Milestone Interactive's MotoGP '18, finished at the very bottom of the chart, in 34th and 40th place respectively.
