KaosKontrol, developer of PC and Xbox 360 title DogTag, has announced the termination with immediate effect of its publishing agreement with Digital Jesters.

The studio is also petitioning the district court of Birmingham for a compulsory Winding-Up of the company Digital Jesters Distribution, and has stated that its lawyers may initiate legal action against the directors of Digital Jesters - alleging fraud under section 206 of the Insolvency Act 1986.

KaosKontrol said the development and ownership of its games remain "entirely unaffected" and that the company will "move rapidly to place them with another publisher."

KaosKontrol declined to offer any further comment.
