Sheffield UK, January 29th, 2007. Distinctive Developments, the studio behind mobile games franchises such as 3D Pool*, FIFA Football* and Michael Vaughan Cricket*, today announced that Juan Montes has joined the company as a non-executive director.

Juan will help Distinctive to plan and adapt its ongoing strategy to maintain its lead within the rapidly evolving mobile entertainment market, as well as encourage further growth of global scale.

Distinctive is one of Europe's largest independent developers of games for mobile phones. The company now has over 30 staff and offices in the UK and North America. Distinctive is responsible for some of the most high profile mobile games in the world, including the FIFA Football* franchise, Michael Vaughan's Cricket*, Madagascar*, Frankie Detori Horse Racing*, The Grand National* and Shrek 2: Puss in Boots*.

Distinctive's own 3D Pool series has taken the world by storm. All three titles in the series have attracted critical acclaim and picked up fans worldwide for their smooth 3D graphics and simple, compelling gameplay.

Juan Montes is a pioneer in the mobile entertainment market. The former vice president of software development for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Juan moved into the mobile entertainment market in 2000, joining Motorola as chief technology officer and vice president of mobile content. In 2003 he joined mobile games publisher JAMDAT as the European managing director, establishing the company's presence within Europe.
