London (27 January 2011) – Square Enix Ltd., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in Europe and other PAL territories, today announces a leading-edge integrated marketing campaign offering consumers free downloadable Smartphone content via language specific QR codes. The activity, an industry first on this scale, has been created to promote four of Square Enix’s forthcoming PSP® (PlayStation Portable) titles. The marketing campaign will run across print and online media in the majority of PAL territories from the end of January.
The FIGHT, SURVIVE, DESTROY, CONQUER campaign comprises print and online ads promoting forthcoming releases DISSIDIA® 012[duodecim]™ FINAL FANTASY®, The 3rd Birthday™, LORD of ARCANA® and TACTICS OGRE™: Let Us Cling Together™. Each print and online ad features a QR code allowing consumers to access exclusive content and downloads - including trailers and wallpapers for any of the four games - all from one Smartphone-enhanced website. There are also links through to a number of retailers’ websites with the option to pre-order any of the games.
