Digital Chocolate bags MEF Award

Tower Bloxx gains another industry accolade

Mobile games and applications developer Digital Chocolate is celebrating yet another award for its 3D puzzle game Tower Bloxx, scooping a 'Meffy' at the recent Mobile Entertainment Market conference in London.

The MEM 06 event took place in London this week, playing host to the annual Mobile Entertainment Forum Awards ceremony, which aims to honour the companies and individuals who have pioneered new ideas, technologies and innovations that have shaped the mobile industry.

Digital Chocolate beat competition from EA, iFone, Glu Mobile and more to scoop the Mobile Game Award for one-button puzzle game Tower Bloxx, which challenges players to create a series of skyscrapers using four different building types over 20 city levels.

The Meffy marks the sixth industry award for the title, which has already received widespread recognition and secured an IGN Editor's Choice Award and two separate awards from Wireless Gaming World, amongst others.

Other winners include Warner Music for the music award, France Telecom, Orange and Warner Music for the marketing award, Chooze Active Content for the mobile content award, Bango for mobile services, 3 UK and Yospace for innovation, 3 UK for entertainment operator and PacketVideo CEO Jim Brailean picked up the special recognition award.
