DID YOU KNOW? THE CRITICS AGREE: THE UPCOMING ZELDA ADVENTURE TOPS ALL CONSOLE GAMES

Nintendo's highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda®: Twilight Princess has been honored as the best console game and the best action/adventure game by the Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2005. This award comes as no surprise to Nintendo or to the thousands of video game fans who waited in line up to three hours to play the game at the Electronic Entertainment Expo last month in Los Angeles.

This latest accolade adds to the stable of awards already won by The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which will be available this holiday season exclusively for Nintendo GameCubeTM. Since E3, the game has been named best in show by CNN; game of the show by 1UP.com and GameSpot; and best game of E3 by G4 TV. As the most anticipated game on any platform this year, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will drive hardware sales for Nintendo GameCube.

For the Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2005, the nominees were judged by 33 media outlets, including Time, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, Maxim, Vibe, USA Today, Electronic Gaming Monthly, IGN.com, Yahoo! Games Domain, The Hollywood Reporter, CNN/Money and The Washington Post.
