Development gurus plan hardcore technical conference next month

A number of development industry professionals have announced their involvement in a new event called Game Tech, which will run from November 30th to December 3rd this year in San Francisco.

The event is designed with a focus on hardcore elements of game development, and is described by its creators as tackling "the challenge of shipping technically innovative games on next-generation platforms."

It incorporates two separate seminars - "Creating Believable Characters," which runs on November 30th and December 1st, and the "Game Tech Leadership Summit," which will run on December 2nd and 3rd.

Among those involved in the event are Jonathan Blow, Chris Hecker and Jeff Lander, who have previously been involved in development initiatives such as Game Technology Seminars, the Game Developer's Conference, and Game Developer magazine.

"The material presented is very advanced," according to a description on the event's website, "and assumes extensive knowledge of current technology, as well as advanced game math."

More information about the event, including online registration, can be found at the Game Tech website.
