Details confirmed for Europe's first casual games conference

The Casual Games Association has confirmed the dates and venue for the European debut of Casuality, a two-day conference, workshop and networking forum focused exclusively on the rapidly developing casual games market.

The Casual Games Association has confirmed the dates and venue for the European debut of Casuality, a three-day conference, workshop and networking forum focused exclusively on the rapidly developing casual games market.

Designed to accommodate casual game developers, publishers and distributors, Casuality 2006 is wholly supported by a number of casual games providers, including PopCap Games, Zylom, Boonty, RealArcade and MSN Casual Games.

The event will offer plenty of scope for networking, creating business opportunities within Europe and extending to Asia and the Americas, as well as insight and information from almost 40 speakers at the heart of the casual games industry.

"Unfortunately, there were no events focused on making fun games which appeal to everyone, so we created Casuality Europe to bring resources and networking opportunities to the professional casual gaming space in Europe," said Rutger Peters, Chairperson of the Casuality Europe steering committee.

"We organized the conference to be run by the community for the community. As a result, the conference is designed with the needs of the attendees and the market in mind - an independent, fun, and informative event. We have had a tremendous amount of support from the entire community for the event," he added.

Scheduled to take place from the 7th-9th February 2006 at the De Rode Hoed in Amsterdam, interested parties can save up to USD 150 by taking advantage of the early registration programme, which closes on November 30th. A second Casuality conference has also been announced, and is due to take place in Seattle at the end of August 2006.

Casuality Europe Program Director Juan Gril stated: "Casuality Europe will be the place to meet key players from the industry from both the US, Europe and Asia. We have a great program for attendees to learn about making games for PC download and mobile and plenty of exciting events planned."

Further information on the confirmed speakers, workshop events, the conference schedule and registration can be found at the Casuality Europe website.
