Berlin, Germany, November 1, 2018: DECA Games, the live operations experts who rescue and reinvigorate games, announced today the acquisition of Zombie Catchers, a mobile game from Helsinki-based indie studio Two Men and a Dog.
Founded by Ken Go, who previously served as general manager for Kabam's European HQ, DECA Games uses a unique approach to live operations to breathe new life into games.
Zombie Catchers, an engaging indie title that has been played by more than 55 million players, becomes the sixth game in DECA's portfolio. DECA will continue the game's development and plans to release new content and expansions for the game's existing fans, as well as continue to grow the game's audience.
"We are thrilled to continue the development of this beloved game and bring DECA's player-focused brand of live operations to Zombie Catchers' fans," commented Ken Go. "This game is a great fit for us.
"Despite being over four years old, millions of new players still download it each month. Our goal is to continue development with the same passion as its creators and to create an even more rewarding experience by adding more depth and breadth with more frequent updates of content and features."
"After the successful run of Zombie Catchers, we wanted to shift our focus to creating new games, however our fans were craving further expansions. We talked with DECA and immediately saw that they would be an ideal partner to take the game forward.
"With DECA, we have no doubt that Zombie Catchers will continue successfully for another decade, said Matti Kallonen, CEO and co-founder of Two Men and a Dog.
With their long term approach to games as a service, DECA enhances the experience for a game's dedicated fanbase. They continue development of the games and create a high quality integrated service handling community management, product management, feature development, art production, customer support, live events and promotions.
