Deadline extended for D&AD gaming award

Educational charity D&AD has announced that the deadline for its Global Awards 2007 has been extended, giving entrants until Wednesday January 17 to submit their applications.

Educational charity D&AD has announced that the deadline for its Global Awards 2007 has been extended, giving entrants until Wednesday January 17 to submit their applications.

This year will mark the second time gaming has been featured as a separate category in the awards. Last year, the coveted Yellow Pencil trophy went to Resident Evil 4 and Nintendogs.

To meet the entry requirements, games must have been released during 2006, and no two companies can enter the same title. For more details and to find out how to submit an entry, visit the D&AD website.

The judging panel will be led by SCEE's Eric Matthews, and will include several former D&AD presidents. Judging will take place at ExCel on March 28 and successful entrants will be notified in the first week of April.
