Dead Rising, Capcomâs first original title for the Xbox 360, has shipped over 500,000 units in its first two weeks of sale in the US.

The game was released August 8th in North America, where Capcom claims Dead Rising is the fastest-selling next-generation title for a Japanese publisher.

âResponse to Dead Rising from the trade, press and consumers has been tremendous,â said Charles Bellfield, VP of marketing at Capcom Entertainment.

âThe success of the game is a result of Capcomâs recognition of the Xbox 360 systemâs possibilities and starting development early on in order to deliver such a high-quality game.â

Dead Rising will be available at retail September 8th in Europe and September 28th in Japan.
