David Gosen takes over as I-Play CEO

Former Nintendo Europe boss takes the helm as Greasley steps down

I-Play chief operating officer David Gosen has been promoted to acting chief executive, following the departure of long-time CEO Brian Greasley after four years at the helm of the company.

Gosen, who was formerly the managing director of Nintendo Europe and oversaw the launch of several of the Japanese giant's consoles in this region, will fill Greasley's role until a permanent replacement is found, or until his appointment becomes permanent.

The top shareholders in I-Play, Apax and Argo, both moved swiftly to pledge their continued support for the company in light of the departure of Greasley, who had led the company through its existence as Digital Bridges and the recent rebranding as I-Play.

Meanwhile, in an official statement, the board of I-Play "expressed its thanks to Brian for leading the company through four significant years of development."
