The CMP Game Group has announced that the 2007 Austin Game Developers Conference will take place from September 5 - 7 at the Austin Convention Center, Texas.

The CMP Game Group has announced that the 2007 Austin Game Developers Conference will take place from September 5 - 7 at the Austin Convention Center, Texas.

There will be four main conference tracks including online games, which will look at the issues surrounding MMOs, virtual worlds and future trends.

The audio for games track will focus on the best practices for recording and enhancing sound, while the writing for games track will feature speakers from both within and outside of the industry who have experience of creating characters and storylines.

The fourth track, People's Choice, will be built around proposals submitted to the conference organisers and then voted on by Austin GDC attendees.

In addition, Austin GDC will play host to a Game Career Seminar for students and new entrants into the industry, and a Career Fair for experienced developers looking to change jobs.

"Though the Austin GDC community is anchored regionally, it reaches a national - and international - audience," observed conference manager Jane Pinckard.

"We're looking forward to the chance to improve upon the great work that has been done in Austin, and to grow the community and the event while maintaining its core values."

Further details, including information about session content and registration, will be announced next month.
