Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH today releases DanceDanceRevolution S for iPhone and iPod Touch users.

A conversion of the eternally popular arcade and home console series, DancaDanceRevolution S recreates the original game’s mix of rhythm and dexterity to the iPhone and iPod Touch units. The basic aim of the game is simple but challenging: users must match a series of arrows by pressing the corresponding icon at the exact time. Arcade and home fans use a dance mat and their feet to match the arrows, with DanceDanceRevolution S players tapping the screen accordingly.

The game features 20 of the greatest tunes from the long history of the series, and a new Shake mode using the machines’ accelerometer.
