Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. (AMEX/TSX: MCZ), a leading third-party interactive entertainment accessory provider, announced today that its critically acclaimed Cyborg branded R.A.T. 7 gaming mouse has won the coveted IGN ‘Best PC Accessory of 2010’ award.

When first reviewing the R.A.T. 7 in August 2010, IGN lavished praise on gaming mouse saying, “In terms of performance, the R.A.T. 7 is top notch – it’s extremely responsive”. In revealing their Best of 2010 awards, IGN went on to comment, “The R.A.T. 7offers the best overall blend of price and customization.”

The prestigious award comes as the latest achievement in an impressive critical run from a string the world’s leading publications and websites.  ‘Maximum PC’ magazine (Future Publishing) awarded the R.A.T. 7 a staggering 10/10 score calling it the “Best gaming mouse ever”, whereas ‘PC Gamer’ magazine (Future Publishing) awarded the R.A.T. 7 98% (the highest score ever awarded by the publication for a mouse) commenting, “Astoundingly customizable, luxuriously comfortable, and loaded with brilliant features.”  In addition, internationally respected technology website ‘ Engadget’ recently reviewed the R.A.T. 9 wireless professional gaming mouse, awarding it a 9/10 score, commenting, “We couldn't find a thing wrong with this sleek transforming mouse. That's not something we get to say often.”
