Cracking Fun, Gromit

WALLACE & GROMIT hop straight onto iDTV

AWARD-WINNING GAME DEVELOPER Denki teams up with the loveable duo, following its creation of Wallace & Gromit: "Curse of the Were-Rabbit" for Sky Gamestar.

Based on the eagerly anticipated Feature Film, the fast-paced, action packed fun takes place in Wallace & Gromit's own neighbourhood - where an army of Veg-Ravaging-Rabbits run amok destroying the inhabitants' extremely valuable Prize Vegetables.

Players control everyone's favourite pooch, Gromit, on a mission to clean the neighbourhood of these rampaging rabbits. Armed with an ever increasing array of Wallace's Cracking Contraptions, Gromit must strive to keep each neighbour happy and their prize veg safe.

But in the midst of all this mayhem, Wallace & Gromit discover another problem to deal with. A problem so large, so monstrous and so very ravenous - a terrifying beast the locals come to call - The Were-Rabbit!

Commenting today, Denki's Managing Director, Colin Anderson said: "The completion of Wallace & Gromit sees us deliver our twentieth branded product for interactive television. This is testament to the continuing trust some of the biggest brand owners in the world are placing in Denki's development skills."

Wallace & Gromit: "Curse of the Were-Rabbit" is live exclusively on Sky Gamestar as of Thursday the 06th of October 2005. Just press the INTERACTIVE button on your Sky Remote Control...

The company is the creator of the multiple award-winning Denki Blocks!, winner of 'Overall Best Game of the Show' and 'Best Handheld Game of the Show' at ECTS 2001 and a BAFTA Award nominee in 2002.

Denki is a pioneer of gaming on interactive Digital Television (iDTV). In the past several years, the company has created a wide range of titles for Sky Television's Gamestar service, including many based on famous entertainment brands and licences.

Denki's branded iDTV catalogue includes: David Beckham, Super Breakout, Bust-A-Move, Pac-Man, HULK, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Sky Sports Darts, Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Codename: Kids Next Door, Scooby-Doo, Thunderbirds, Tetris, Shrek, Boggle, Dexter's Laboratory, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, Ed, Edd n Eddy and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Denki has also created a range of original titles including Denki Blocks!, Caterpillar Crunch, Bips!, Word Crunch, Duopolis, Letter Box, Genie's Cave and Jumble Fever.

The company is continuing to explore the possibilities presented by new 'non-dedicated' platforms such as iDTV and mobile phones, as they present a real possibility of penetrating the mass-market like no other games technology before.

In 2005 Denki is exploring opportunities to take their unique experience and expertise out to a rapidly growing global market. The company is creating a dedicated new initiative to allow it to translate it's market leading position within the advanced UK market into a similar position in the global iDTV industry.
