"This year will be one of the biggest and best conferences the Asia Pacific region has seen, with delegates coming from Canada, UK, U.S.A and from throughout Asia" said Tom Crago President of the GDAA and CEO of Tantalus. "We already have delegates confirmed from Konami, Eidos, Sega , Midway, Microsoft and Sony, in addition to all the major players from the Australian industry." Crago said that 2007 has been a huge year for the Australian industry. "At GCAP we'll also be celebrating the success of our local developers. There have been some massively successful releases this year, and we're keen to shine the light on some of our homegrown talent."
The highlight of the Conference will be the GDAA Games Awards Night dinner to be held at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne on Saturday 17th November, which will see representatives from publishers, game developers, governments and industry Australia-wide. A full program of awards will recognise the success stories of the Australian industry for 2007.
