Overwhelming interest from exhibitors and international visitors

GC Developer Conference (GCDC)

(16 to 18 August 2005)

The conference is successfully positioning itself as a leading European event for the developer industry, with record numbers of registrations, in particular with further growth in the number of international participants and premium representatives of the industry from Europe and overseas.

With Intel, ATI and Nokia the main sponsors at the GCDC are not only contributing as exhibitors, they also have a superb programme on offer. "We are really looking forward to appearing as sponsor at the GCDC and having an active participation in the events. The GCDC has developed into one of the leading European conferences. It offers Intel a fantastic environment in which to experience the next generation of the PC as a gaming platform with developers, and to exchange information with them on the future of games, " declares Arne Peters, Segment Manager Consumer Software & Solutions, Intel EMEA.

Other companies appearing include Siemens, Sun, Wibu-Systems, Trymedia, Julysystems, Alias and QA Systems, Rockstar Vienna and Exit Games, with stands and representatives on-site. Media partner for the conference is IDG Verlag, who will also use the occasion to unveil a new product to the public.

In anticipation of the approaching conference, well-known participants have already stated their opinions on current and future themes in game development. Following on from Bill Roper and David Freeman, in the second part of a series of interviews Don Daglow, President of Stormfront Studios, details his experience with regard to the new challenges facing the organisation of teams of developers and reveals details from his speech. The interview itself can be seen on the conference website (Press - Interviews).

The content is continuously updated and expanded.
