Codemasters keeps McRae name for new DIRT title

Late driver's name to remain part of publisher's racing brand

Codemasters has decided to keep the McRae brand on its rally titles, after the death of Colin McRae last year.

Colin McRae: DIRT 2 will carry the late rally driver's name when released in 2009, on multiple formats.

"Colin McRae was all about the speed, the excitement and the entertainment of rally driving," said Gavin Raeburn, executive producer on the series. "It will be a great tribute to an incredible champion."

Raeburn pointed out that the decision to use Colin McRae's name was made by Codemasters and the McRae family.
