Codemasters COO steps down

Tony Williams will continue to work with the company on "special projects" as part of a phased departure

Codemasters has confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz that the company's chief operating officer, Tony Williams, is leaving the company.

"Tony Williams has stepped down from his role as chief operating officer and, as part of a phased departure, will focus on special projects for the company," commented a spokesperson.

Williams was appointed COO after serving as managing director of Bam! Entertainment and was brought into the company alongside Rod Cousens as CEO, following the acquisition of 40 per cent of the company by venture capital firm Benchmark Capital Europe in 2005.
