Climax Nottingham appoints new managing director

British developer Climax has announced the appointment of industry veteran David Nicholson as managing director for its studio in Nottingham, which is currently working on the Warhammer Online massively multiplayer title for Games Workshop.

Nicholson has a lengthy track record in the British development scene, having previously worked at Rage, Infogrames, Gremlin and Psygnosis, and has extensive background in production and project management.

"The chance to join an ambitious and forward-thinking company like Climax was one I couldn't pass up," according to Nicholson. "The company's rise and rise over recent years has left no-one in the industry unaware of who Climax are. The forthcoming launch of Warhammer Online is going to further cement the company's reputation for developing games that can garner commercial success and critical acclaim, and I'm delighted to be joining at such an exciting time."
