Climax Means Business

Climax signals its intent to stimulate growth with the appointment of U.S. and European VPs of Business Development.

London, UK -- 19th Sept, 2005: Climax, one of the world's leading independent video game developers, is delighted to announce it has bolstered its business development department with two key appointments. Lou Fawcett has joined the company as VP of Business Development (Europe) and Brian Dreyer has been appointed as VP of Business Development (U.S.). These two appointments are crucial to Climax's ambitions to expand its global operations.

"We're thrilled to have Lou and Brian on board," admitted Karl Jeffrey, CEO of Climax. "Their appointments show how serious we are to bring in new business so that we can expand both our European and American operations. The company has grown year on year since its foundation in 1988 and these two appointments will ensure this trend continues. The pair brings a wealth of industry experience to the company and will play a pivotal role in seeking out new publishing partnerships and business opportunities over the coming years."

Lou Fawcett joins the company as VP Business Development with responsibility for European publisher relations. A well-known industry figure, she previously held senior sales and business development roles at Atari and Hasbro Interactive. Her vast experience and unwavering enthusiasm will be a huge asset to Climax. "It's extremely exciting to be joining such an ambitious company as Climax", she stated. "The company is genuinely committed to growing the business and I'm looking forward to working closely with publishers across Europe to explore every new opportunity."

Having previously held senior management positions at Syncata, Inc. and Gartner, Brian Dreyer joins the company as VP Business Development (US). Before joining Climax, Brian founded and ran his own company called DNA Inc. Through this business, he served as an agent and consultant to several major publishers and developers. While performing these roles, Brian proved himself extremely adept in the field of business development and discovered an invaluable ability to identify multiple opportunities. This expertise and skill will be harnessed by Climax to develop new, productive relationships with America's leading video game publishers. "I was attracted to Climax because of its ambition to cement its position as one of the world's largest and most successful independent developers of video games," admitted Brian. "And it's no idle ambition: it has the infrastructure, technology and personnel to aggressively pursue its goal. This determination to grow, combined with the company's willingness to explore and embrace exciting new business ideas and opportunities, makes this a dream job and one I'm relishing getting stuck into."
