Championship Gaming Series Draft at the Playboy Mansion Tonight

History will be made as San Francisco makes first draft pick

Los Angeles, CA - June 12, 2007 - The Championship Gaming Series TM (CGS), the first global professional gaming league in history, will take shape tonight as the first ever video game draft in history takes place at the Playboy Mansion, to be streamed live on www.thecgs.com beginning at 10pm EST/7pm PST.

The nation's elite gamers have been mustered in Los Angeles since June 9 as the six General Managers representing Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Dallas and Carolina, put them through their paces.

During the Combine, the Draft Selection Order was determined in a dramatic moment. The results determined the following:

Pick GM City

1st Kat Hunter San Francisco

2nd Jason Lake Los Angeles

3rd Alex Conroy Dallas

4th Dave Geffon New York

5th Brian Flander Chicago

6th Mark Dolven Carolina

Sixty players will be drafted, ten for each of the six Region 1 Franchises. Five of the ten players will comprise a Counter-Strike: Source squad who will compete in five-on-five matches. The soccer title FIFA 07 will be played one-on-one. Each team will have a mixed-double team of two DOA4 players, one man and one woman, who will play against other teams in one-on-one matches on Xbox 360. The racing game PGR3 will be represented by two players on each team and matches will be played in a two-versus-two format.

In other CGS news, it's been announced that the Official 2007 Region 1 Draft at the Playboy Mansion will be streamed live beginning at 7pm PST on www.thecgs.com. General Managers will be building their teams at the CGS Draft, from all of the eligible participants in the Combine.
