CGEUK 2005 to go ahead despite collapse of Game Zone Live

After its success in 2004, Classic Gaming Expo UK was to host the "Retro Zone" for this years Game Zone Live, and despite GZL pulling out, CGEUK will still be going ahead albeit on a different date and at a different venue.

Now taking place at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon, CGEUK will be a one day event covering computers, consoles, arcade machines and pinball tables from the 1970's through to the 1990's.

There are already many confirmed exhibitors, and special guests include Matthew Smith of "Manic Miner" fame, Andy Nuttall and some other members of "Bullfrog" plus a few of the staff from "Ocean Software". Archer Maclean will also be in attendance showing off some arcade machines from his private collection.

This year also sees the first of many competitions including some aimed at disabled gamers thanks to Barrie Ellis of OneSwicth.org.uk.

CGEUK takes place on Saturday 13th August 2005, and still has a limited number of stands left for anyone wishing to exhibit.
