"Casemodding@GC" entices with spectacular PC adaptations

"GC CasemodMasters" (GCCM) looks for best case modellers

GC (Games Convention)

(23 - 26 August 2007)

Leipzig, 24 May 2007

No more boring PC cases! The "Casemodding@GC" exhibition shows visitors to the GC 2007 that a computer need not be hidden under the desk. More and more creative modellers on the computer scene are trying out casemodding and present their most spectacular art works at the GC. Casemodding sees itself as tuning of a very special kind: optical refinements and unique functions make glittering media centres out of what were once grey, mass-produced cases.

Battle of the master modders: the 4th GC CasemodMasters

For what is already the fourth time, the best casemodders from all over Germany compete in a unique championship, the "GC CasemodMasters (GCCM)". The contest is organised by the Leipzig Fair and the casemodding community professionals casemodder.de. Entrants can register as from now at www.gccm.de. 15 entrants in the two categories "Casemods" (converted series production PC cases) and "Casecons" (individually designed and built PC cases) will be chosen to come to Leipzig to submit their entries to the critical gaze of the jury of experts who will announce the winners on the Sunday of the fair at 15.00 in the "Casemodding@GC" area (Hall 4). The creators of the three most ingenious cases can look forward to attractive prizes.

Experts on hand with tips and demos

For those in search of ideas for original PC tuning, information is available on the casemodding stand (Stand B31, Hall 4). Professional casemodders take to the stage several times a day to demonstrate the most important moves needed for PC tuning and are ready to answer questions on the technical and optical tricks of the trade. Hobby casemodders can expect valuable tips and also have the chance every day to win quality PC cases produced by well-known manufacturers.
