The videogames Olympics semifinals comes to London on Saturday (the 29th) from Noon @ the NamcoStation in London's County Hall. 14 of the best of British finger-button-bashers will be chosen to fly to Singapore to take part in the finals against the rest of the world.

Samsung are proud to present their Need for Speed Challenge, a stunning competition that gives you the chance to earn an unbelievable prize for less than 2 minutes effort!

Every year the WorldCyberGames Finals takes place in Asia with the top video-game players from around the globe battling it out for Gold medals and superb prizes that befit the "Olympics" of computer gaming. Last year alone the Finals carried a staggering £200,000 prize fund spread across many different genres, from button-bashing beat-em-ups to the mouse-clicking frenzy of strategy games.

This year the UK will be sending an elite team of 14 players to Singapore to attend the World Finals and to join this squad couldn't be easier. All you need to do is attend the UK Finals that take place this coming Saturday (the 29th) from Noon @ the NamcoStation in London's County Hall. At these Finals you should visit our special tournament stand and attempt to set the fastest single lap time over the Grandview Station track on the high-octane PC game Need for Speed Underground 2.

The person who has set the fastest circuit time when the competition closes @ 9.00pm on Saturday will be selected to represent the UK team at the World Finals in Singapore. You'll receive free flights and accommodation as part of the team, experiencing the truly unique culture that is Singapore whilst also having the chance to win one of many prizes by participating in the main tournament against the top Need For Speed players on the planet.

It doesn't cost a penny to attend the UK Finals as a spectator, nor to take part in the Samsung Need for Speed Challenge, you can have as many attempts as you like (within reason!) and our dedicated stand will be running two instances of the game from the moment the doors open until 9.00pm to ensure everyone who wants to have a go is able to. Whilst at the venue you can also enjoy the fine facilities that NamcoStation has to offer including indoor dodgems and a plethora of video arcade games.*

There's never been a video game tournament like this before in the UK so make sure you don't miss out.

*Please note that to use any NamcoStation facilities will require payment at normal NamcoStation prices.
