Brasil Game Show 2010

Warner, EA and Codemasters sign up for November's event in Rio de Janeiro.

Warner Bros. Games announced today the list of games that will be presented at its booth at the Brasil Game Show 2010 (BGS). The company will bring to the event their latest releases as well as hit titles from the giants Electronic Arts (EA) and Codemasters, two old acquaintances of gamers, officially represented by Warner Bros. in Brazil. BGS will take place on November 20th and 21st in the modern SulAmérica Convention Center in Rio de Janeiro with an anticipated 20,000 visitors or more from around the country.

Some of the products that will be exhibited at the booth at Brazil Game Show are Formula 1 2010, FIFA 11, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, FEAR 3, Mortal Kombat, Batman: Arkam City, Sims 3 Console, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, Batman Brave and the Bold and the new game in the series Medal of Honor.

"WB Games will have a very strong presence at Brasil Game Show 2010. Beyond the actual games from Warner, the company also markets a powerful catalog from EA. All products will be presented with covers and manuals in Portuguese, and launched almost simultaneously in the United States," said Rodrigo Drysdale, Director of Marketing, Warner Bros. Games South America.

Other releases planned are Lego Harry Potter, Galactic Taz Bal, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, Scooby Doo! and the Spooky Swamp, My Sims Sky Heroes, NBA Elite 11, Super Scribblenauts, The Sims 3 Acelerando, MMA, The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North and Crysis 2.

This 3rd edition of the Brazil Games Show encompasses approximately 8,000 square meters, triple the area used in the previous edition in 2009 when it was still called Rio Game Show. The event has grown and now includes the participation of 60 exhibitors to present the latest trends in the gaming market.

Tickets have already started to be sold at a promotional price of R$15, half-price, in advance until the 15th of October. The discount is valid for students, users of the Metro Card Rio and also for all who donate 1 kg of non-perishable food to be given to the local Ronald McDonald House, an institution that supports and humanizes the treatment of juvenile cancer. Anyone who buys the passport with tickets to the two-day event gets an official BGS shirt.
