Boot Up, Tune In And Vote For The Ultimate Gaming Track

Shortlist for Xbox Soundtracks revealed as the decision is handed over to pick the ultimate game-inspired track

London 14th June 2007 - Today the final shortlist of Xbox Soundtracks was revealed as voting opens for visitors to the site to choose their favourite tracks and select the ultimate winner of a professional recording session. For the past month thousands of musicians and gamers alike from across Europe have been creating new music tracks inspired by the latest high-definition games on the Xbox 360. From the colourful fantasy of Viva Piñata to the gritty battles of Halo 3, DJs, bands and composers have created tracks cut to a wide range of latest Xbox 360 titles.

Musical superstars from around the world have also taken part in the project with Scissor Sisters cutting a re-mix to Halo Wars and Enter Shikari creating an exclusive track to accompany upcoming Xbox 360 game Blue Dragon. Entrants to the competition could find these and loads of other tunes created especially for Xbox Soundtracks from top DJs and bands at http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/music to help inspire their own creation.

Since the competition closed earlier this month, entries have been reviewed and shortlisted. From today anyone can visit the voting site at www.xbox.com/music, watch the entries and rate their favourites. Voting closes on 19th July 2007 and the winner will be revealed on site later that month, winning the chance to lay down their track in a Universal Music studio with top music producers.
