Boom.tv raises $10m in Series A funding

Bitkraft leads investment round to support Code Red ProAm series, esports entertainment platform

Boom.tv has announced it has raised $10 million in Series A funding to fuel future investments in features, programming, and marketing.

The funding round was led by Bitkraft Esports Ventures, which has been on a spree of investments in the last few years in companies including Playable Worlds, PatronGG, Bit Fry, Meta Games, Five Vectors, Ready, and numerous others.

Other investors included Crest Capital and Pole to Win, as well as all the company's prior investors -- with seven total investors participating.

The funding will be used to invest in Boom.tv's two core products: the Code Red ProAm series -- which will receive increased prize pools, new partnerships with influencers, and original programming -- and new features for its titular esports entertainment platform.

"Boom.tv is all about making organized competition in video games universally accessible for every game and sector: influencers, academic clubs, community organizations, gaming cafes and even just a passionate group of friends who choose Boom.tv to produce, broadcast, and track results of esports competitions," said Bitkraft managing partner Jens Hilgers.
