Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition

This week, we are pleased to present screenshots of not one, but two of the 11 new races that will join the 9 previous races in the new Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition's at the end of the year! Also enjoy a glimpse of one of the new stadiums, where the teams will compete in bloody matches!

The "Pro" Elves typify the Elven tradition with speedy, agile, albeit fragile players! And though these Elves are not as fast as the Wood Elves, they are a little more resilient and can sustain a few more blocks than their cousins… only a few more though! Their specialized players make the “Pro” Elves team perfect for an efficient passing game.

On reflection, the Ogres' teams offer the complete opposite when it comes to play style, The Ogres unmatched brutality – and stupidity – is balanced by the smallest and the weirdest Blood Bowl players: the Snotlings. At first sight, these little creatures may seem useless and only worth being stomped on by the opposite team (and that would be a fair evaluation!). Yet, they are essential to help the Ogres to actually win games; especially since the big ones tend to forget they are in the middle of a game when the blood begins to fly!

About Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition

Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition is the ultimate Blood Bowl edition! 11 new playable races join the 9 races already available in the 2009 edition: Undead, Amazon, Ogres and 9 other races enter Blood Bowl's tournaments. All 20 races have their personal style, tactics and unique skills which give each game a diversity rarely seen in a strategy game. New and more impressive stadiums welcome all these new teams: from the snowy Norse stadium to the creepy interior of a crypt, a change of scenery is guaranteed!

A new Story mode is also introduced, in which players will play as a freelance coach. They will have to lead several famous teams and take up many challenges through a story revealing the origins of Blood Bowl, the Old World and its many races that relentlessly compete with each other in merciless games. A newly scripted tutorial will teach all new comers everything they need to know about coaching a Blood Bowl team! In order to stay as close as possible to the official rules, many additions and updates have been made to better match the latest Blood Bowl Rulebook, used in all official board game official tournaments.

Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition is planned for release on PC Q4 2010.
