Blitz reaches 150 staff and looks to grow by 25%

8th November, 2005. Leamington Spa, UK. Blitz Games, already one of Europe's largest independent game development studios announced today that is has employed it's 150th staff member and is actively seeking to grow by a further 25% over the next 6 months.

The company, which recently established the Volatile Games brand for its videogames with mature content, including the next-gen zombie action title Possession, also recently celebrated its 15th anniversary in game development.

Philip Oliver, co-founder and CEO of Blitz Games commented, "We've weathered the storms of the past couple of years and are in a stronger position than ever before - with a broader portfolio of titles, excellent in house technology on both current and next generation consoles, an enthusiastic and talented workforce and an unwavering passion for games. Reaching 150 employees is indeed a milestone but we're still looking to grow considerably over the coming months."

The 150th employee is Gerard (Gez) Gourley who takes the role of Senior Audio Designer. Gourley has over 15 years experience composing and creating sound effects within the games industry.
