Developer BioWare has been named as one of the top 100 employers in Canada by Mediacorp Canada and Macleans magazine, and has also been placed in Deloitte's Canadian Technology Fast 50 listing.

This is the second consecutive year that BioWare has been placed in the top 100 employers list, and its fourth consecutive placement in the Fast 50 list - which ranks the fastest growing technology firms in the country.

In addition to its placement in the Fast 50 ranking, where it came in at number 29, the company was also awarded a GrowthWorks Leadership Award by Deloitte, in recognition of its outstanding achievement in software.

"These awards are a testament to the hard work of our more than 200 staff, comprised of some of the most creative, intelligent and loyal people in the world," according to BioWare joint CEO Dr. Ray Muzyka. "All of the people here at BioWare are passionate about making entertaining video games that push the boundaries of the medium, with epic stories, stunning visuals, and exceptional production values."

BioWare is best known for its work on titles including Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights and Knights of the Old Republic, and is currently completing Xbox exclusive title Jade Empire, which is based on the firm's own IP and will be launched in Q1 2005, along with Dragon Age, another original IP title for the PC platform.
