Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons

Developers make use of Unity development tool.

Royal Oak, Mich., (March 8, 2011) – Pixofactor Entertainment, a complete video gaming and entertainment content development company, has entered into a comprehensive software license agreement with Unity Technologies, provider of the Unity development tool for highly interactive 3D content on the web, mobile and console platforms. Company CEO Sean Hurwitz made the announcement.

As part of the agreement, Pixofactor will begin utilizing the latest Unity 3.2 development platform and its successors across multiple franchises and genres, including current projects Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons and Zorro . The Pixofactor Unity software license deal enables every Pixofactor developer, full access to the entire range of Unity Pro products from web and mobile to consoles and future platforms.

"Our partnership with Unity Technologies further helps solidify our leadership position within the gaming industry,” said Hurwitz. “By utilizing Unity’s recognized cross-platform technology, it will provide us the opportunity to develop high-quality assets that will stand out within this crowded marketplace as well as help us invest into our future emerging media development needs.”

Pixofactor will immediately begin incorporating Unity technology into their latest two projects:

A multi-million dollar project to develop a Ben Hogan Five Lessons game across multiple digital platforms, including: A Wii TMgame, mobile applications and interactive web site and DVD. The Ben Hogan Five Lessons for the Wii system and iPhone games are scheduled to be released during Christmas 2011. The interactive web site will be ready for Father’s Day 2011 and the 2011 golf season. An interactive Zorro game application is being developed for iPhone and iPad. The iPhone application will be ready during March 2011 with the iPad game available the following month. Unity's unique feature set, including one click output to all major platforms is one of the key factors in Pixofactor's selection of the platform. The ability to easily and quickly bring titles to consoles, mobile devices and the web will increase efficiency and decrease development costs.

“We are excited to work with Pixofactor Entertainment,” said Tony Garcia, Unity Technologies, VP of Business Development. “Pixofactor is an up and coming player in the game space. They will be one of the first developers to release a game using our Unity 3.2 product on the Wii system. Democratizing game development is at the forefront of our business mission, and Pixofactor is another important part of our community doing just that.”
