BEAT A MAN! WIN £1000!

Abit, Coolermaster and PC World Hosting Challenge At Game Stars Live. Beat Renowned UK Gamer And Win A Grand Instantly

Tuesday 31 August 2004/... Although the opportunity to enjoy the best in computer and video games at the UK's largest ever gaming event should be reason enough to snap up a very reasonable £10 admission ticket, attendees could find themselves leaving the event a staggering £990 up if they rise to the challenge and beat renowned gamer 'Fatal1ty' at the show.

Game Stars Live runs from September 1st - 5th 2004 at Dockland's ExCeL in London. Motherboard and VGA specialist Abit in association with PC World is offering £1,000 to every player who beats Fatal1ty at Doom 3.

Fatal1ty's - real name Johnathan Wendel - is the three-times running, reigning CPL Champion Player of the Year, so his talent is without question. His biography can be found at https://secure.convergence.net/fatal1ty/default.asp.

The challenges - which run on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday of the five-day event on the Coolermaster stand - are open to everyone aged 18 or over. And that's not the only chance to win big: At the end of the event, everyone who has registered on the PC World Component Website will be entered into a draw to win the kit Fatal1ty is playing on - a souped-up PC worth an estimated £4,000.

Filling an area the size of three football pitches, Game Stars Live will offer visitors the chance to play all the top Christmas releases from the major games publishers, in a star-studded show that offers something for everyone - no matter what their age or gaming experience. Celebrity appearances, gaming challenges and a whole host of special, themed zones will excite and enthral visitors.
