'Be The One' With Electronic Arts At The London Games Festival

Will you Be The One to play the newest video games before anyone else? Will you Be The One to take the stage and show off your gaming skills in front of thousands of people in London's Trafalgar Square? Will you Be The One to meet and beat your heroes?

Electronic Arts, the world's leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment, is giving you the chance to find out, when it brings a two-day carnival of gaming to central London as part of the London Games Festival. Between October 25 and 26, EA invites the public to try out some of the hottest new games this holiday season. Playing titles such as FIFA 08, The Simpsons Game, Need for Speed ProStreet, Rock Band and Boogie, novice and expert gamers alike will be recruited to the main stages at the foot of Nelson's Column. Here they will get to Be The One and take part in a range of amazing live challenges alongside or against other members of the public and a host of celebrity guests from the worlds of showbiz, music, entertainment and sports.

"All eyes will be on London this week as we celebrate the enormous creativity and innovation of the interactive entertainment industry," said Keith Ramsdale, vice president and country manager, EA UK. "EA's event at London Games Festival will give everyone the chance to experience gaming in an exhilarating new way that can be enjoyed by all the family."

The extravaganza will also feature live music performances from top international artists, exclusive access to never-before-seen games content, and plenty of playtime for those who just want to get down to some serious gaming action. If that wasn't enough, EA is also giving gamers the opportunity to take on creators and developers from a number of EA studios to literally beat them at their own game in the 'Beat the Makers Challenge'.

EA's London Games Festival 'Be the one' Carnival will kick off on London's Trafalgar Square at 6pm on Wednesday 24 October.
