Battles Come To The Broken Kingdoms For Wii | PC | Mac | PS3 And PSP

Browser Based Adventure Game is Given Major Update with the Inclusion of Combat and New Quests

Darren Reid's The Half Broken Crown: The Broken Kingdoms, the online point and click adventure game based upon the forthcoming book by fantasy bestseller Darren Reid, has just been given its largest upgrade to date. In addition to point and click puzzle solving quests the game has also launched a brand new turn based combat system along with an increase to the gaming world's size.

The new combat system is the first in a series of planned updates that will take place between now and the end of September that will significantly diversify the gaming experience of The Broken Kingdoms. Planned future updates include a fishing mini-game, a hunting system, further additions to the combat engine and the ability to adopt battle monsters to take with the player on quests. As with all updates to The Broken Kingdoms to date, these new features will be added free of charge.

"These new updates are a fantastic addition to this game," enthuses Reid, "they add new depth to the narrative and the planned updates look better still."

The Broken Kingdoms is a browser based adventure that will run not only on PCs and Macs but also Nintendo Wii, Sony PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable with a lite version available for the Nintendo DS. It is based upon the new novel by Darren Reid, The Half Broken Crown, and has been designed as a 'casual' MMO experience that any user can pick up and play for short periods of time. The game is based around an accessible point and click interface with intuitive game play and a deep underlying narrative.

The Broken Kingdoms is apart of the growing line of interactive adventures being released by NextGenBooks.com.
