Bananagrams

26-player word puzzler launched as a free Facebook app.

EDISON, N.J., November 17, 2008 - Majesco Entertainment Company (NASDAQ: COOL), an innovative provider of video games for the mass market, today announced that the popular anagram game, Bananagrams, is now available as a free application on Facebook Platform. Developed by Large Animal Games, the award-winning Bananagrams goes above and beyond the rules of traditional board games in favor of an every-player-for-themselves approach that delivers lightning-fast puzzle play in a competitive environment.

Unlike most board games where players have to wait for their opponents to make a move before they can take another turn, the object of Bananagrams is to create as many words as quickly as possible from an initial batch of selected tiles. Players must simultaneously scramble to form interconnected words while drawing additional letters from a community pile of tiles. Once the tile pile is depleted, the player who is able to use all of his or her tiles first wins.

Facebook users can play Bananagrams with up to 25 friends in the classic Live Multiplayer mode, communicating with one another using in-game chat. If their friends aren't online, players can always make some new ones by jumping into a public room. Or, they can set up a play-on-your-own-time Banana Café challenge for up to 25 of their friends, who then race against each other to use up all their letters in the least amount of time. Players can always compare their own results against those of their friends and the world via the Bananagrams Leaderboard.

Bananagrams also offers Facebook users two single player modes - Banana Solitaire and Single Player Banana Café - in which players compete in a timed race to place letters and try to beat their own or their friends' best posted times.

Bananagrams is now available as a free application on Facebook Platform. New features and enhancements are being added continuously, and the game is coming soon to other social networks.
