Babel opens new North American development facility

Recently awarded Best Outsourcing Company at the 2005 Develop Industry Excellence awards, Babel announces its new North American facility is now fully operational

Recently awarded Best Outsourcing Company at the 2005 Develop Industry Excellence awards, Babel announces its new North American facility is now fully operational.

Based in Montreal, the 120 seat facility will be a focal point for the company's continued international expansion, specifically created to service the North American market; something which Babel views as integral to the future growth of the company.

Algy Williams, Managing Director of Babel commented that "North America is the biggest market in the world and Babel need a presence there to service our growing number of trans-Atlantic clients."

Speaking about the location of the company's new facility, Williams was keen to promote the benefits of being situated in Canada, stating "there's a very good reason why we based our new subsidiary, Babel Games Services in Montreal. It is one of the best and most vibrant games clusters in the world."

Listed by the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 as one of the UK's fastest growing private companies, Babel also has offices in Brighton, Los Angeles and New Delhi, and raised venture capital from the Noble Group in May 2005 to fund its North American expansion.

Selected as one of only two testing houses for the Vodafone Live! certification programme, the firm is also one of three European test houses approved for Microsoft's Xbox console.

The Montreal facility will service multi-platform, multi-lingual localisation QA for PC, console, handheld and mobile platforms, in addition to J2ME mobile porting and deployment. The company plans to include BREW porting in the near future.
