Avanquest DS range

Celebrating chart success with Mah Jong Quest Expeditions and Jewel Quest Expeditions.

7th October 2008

Avanquest Software Publishing, formerly known as GSP and one of the UK's leading consumer software and games publishers, is reporting strong sales for its debut DS games, Mah Jong Quest Expeditions and Jewel Quest Expeditions, after both featured in the Chart Track Nintendo DS top fifty DS titles during September.

Mah Jong Quest Expeditions featured at an impressive twenty three, ahead of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and Jewel Quest Expeditions was listed at number forty three for the week ending 27th September. The success of the two titles has been attributed to the high quality and addictiveness of the games, good reviews in both print and online specialist press and the excellent take up by retailers.

Simon Reynolds, European Games Director at Avanquest Software Publishing commented, “We have great belief in the products. They’re addictive, colourful and fun games suitable for any audience. The support from retail has also been fantastic and contributed to the success of the titles. With further great games on DS due for release at the end of this year and early 2009, it is a very exciting time for us and we look forward to ongoing success with the ‘Click & Play’ casual gaming brand.”

Avanquest Software Publishing has also recently released two further titles on DS including I Love Horses and Pony Luv with an RRP of £19.99 each. Both titles cater for the younger female casual gamer. Avanquest will also be launching a number of further titles on DS in Q4 2008 and early 2009.

Avanquest Software Publishing currently publishes or distributes in the UK a portfolio of titles on behalf of some of the world's best known brands including Disney, SEGA and Dorling Kindersley. It manages all elements of the sales process, including pricing, packaging, warehousing, merchandising, POS and special offers. Strong relationships with traditional, web and specialist retailers including GAME, PC World, WH Smith, Amazon.co.uk, Play.com, Zavvi, Morrisons and Tesco have helped to establish consistently strong sales with many titles appearing in the Top 20 PC entertainment charts (budget).
