Australia charts: Star Wars goes in at No. 2

It may have gone straight to No. 1 the UK charts, but the force in Star Wars - Episode III: Revenge of the Sith is not quite strong enough in to shift Gran Turismo 4 from Australia's top spot.

Sony's racer remains in pole position for yet another week, with the PS2 version of Episode III in at No. 2 - leaving Doom 3, which was in second place last week, dropping right down to No. 10.

There's another new entry in at No. 3 - Microsoft's Forza Motorsport - followed by Episode III for Xbox in fourth. And with the film not even on general release until next week and Lego Star Wars at No. 7, it seems George Lucas won't have to worry about how to pay the gas bills for some time.

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas still shows no sign of leaving the top ten, slipping only one notch to No. 5, while Vivendi's real-time strategy game Empire Earth 2 rises to No. 6.

Australia seems to be losing interest in The Sims at last, with only one title from the series in this week's top ten - The Sims 2: University, which is down three places to No. 8.

The PS2 version of Midnight Club: Dub Edition has dropped into ninth place, while its Xbox counterpart slips out of the chart entirely.
