Audiokinetic® unveils new revolutionary product

Wwise® Motion to redefine motion in video game

San Francisco, USA - February 20, 2007 - Audiokinetic Inc., a leading audio solution provider for the video game industry, today unveiled its new product, Wwise Motion, at the 2008 Game Developers Conference.

Audiokinetic's flagship product, Wwise, was announced at GDC two years ago, and has since been adopted by numerous well-known game developers, and has received several industry recognition awards.

With Wwise Motion, Audiokinetic leverages the benefits of Wwise and introduces the first and only motion solution for games.

"Wwise Motion comes from a very simple, yet very bright idea," said Simon Ashby, Product Development Manager, Audiokinetic. "In video games, whenever there is motion, there is sound. So the idea was to simply and automatically generate motion by using the actual sound signal and transforming it into motion adapted for each platform controller, and peripherals such as the D-Box chair."

Wwise Motion offers the same functionalities and streamlined workflow as Wwise- applying them to the creation, customization and integration of motion. Wwise Motion allows game developers to efficiently create, customize, and manage motion in their games.

"The video game industry is highly competitive," said André Nadeau, President and CEO, Audiokinetic. "Developers must concentrate on their core business: developing state-of-the-art games that will strike gamers. They no longer have the luxury to develop their own tools. This is Audiokinetic's core business: develop highly innovative solutions that answer developers' needs."

Wwise Motion will be demoed at Audiokinetic's booth at GDC (NH 6234) and will be commercialized shortly. More details are available on Audiokinetic's web site.
